In the left sidebar, select Tasks.
Select + New task.
In the Create task dialog, add the task details. Title and Assigned user or Ward are required.
A specific ward can be assigned, for example, to assist in managing triage services and emergency appointments. Note that when a task is assigned to a ward only, no users are notified about the task (the task can be viewed on the task dashboard).
By default, the user selection list includes the users of the currently selected clinic location. If your organization has several clinic locations, you can select the Show all users checkbox to include all users from all clinic locations.
You can also select a task Type and Status, set a Deadline, and add a reminder with the Remind before option. In addition, you can add a specific Client and Patient the task is related to.
Select Save.
Create a Task from a Consultation
If you're in an active consultation, you can create a task with the client and patient filled in automatically.
On the consultation page, select Planned future actions in the action toolbar, choose the relevant patient (if there's more than one), then select + next to Tasks.
Note: If you're using the new consultation page layout, select the Patient discharge tab, then in the Next steps section select + next to Tasks.
Fill in the task details as described above.
Create a Task from the Patient Page
To create a task with the client and patient already selected, go to the patient's page and select the Tasks tab, then select Add. Fill in the task details as described above.
Create a Task With a Keyboard Shortcut
Press Alt+T from anywhere in Vetera to open the Create task dialog directly.
To set personal preferences related to tasks, select your name in the bottom-left corner, then select My profile. On the Tasks tab, you can choose whether to receive notifications about tasks by email/SMS and subscribe to other users' tasks to be notified about them.
