View a Patient's Vital Signs Graph

You can view graphs of a patient's vital signs in two places. The Vitals tab of the patient page graphs the patient's whole history. The Vitals section of the new consultation page graphs only the vital signs you enter in that consultation.

View a Graph on the Patient Page

  1. On the patient page, select the Vitals tab.

  2. Under Vitals filters, select a vital sign, or select All.

  3. To show a shorter period, set From date and To date, or select a Time period.

The graph opens beside a list of the entries. Hold the pointer over a point in the graph to see the values recorded at that time.

To print the graph, select Print in the top right of the section. To add an entry, select Add.

View a Graph on the Consultation Page

In the Vitals section on the new consultation page, the vital signs are listed as a table. Select Over time to show them as a graph, and Current to go back to the table.

Select the checkbox for each vital sign you want to plot. Each one is plotted in its own color. To add an entry, select Add entry.

Standard Vital Signs

You can plot these vital signs in a graph on the Vitals tab. A vital sign appears in the graph once a value has been entered for it.

  • Weight

  • Temperature

  • Blood pressure

  • Heart rate

  • Respiratory rate

  • Body condition score

Custom Vitals

Custom patient status fields, or custom vitals, appear in the Vitals section on the consultation page. They do not appear on the Vitals tab of the patient page, and they cannot be plotted in a graph. Vetera saves their values to the patient's history, where you can select them to produce a table.
