Ask Vetera is an AI chat assistant built into the Reports section of Vetera. It lets you ask questions about your clinic's financial data in plain language and get structured answers without navigating through individual reports.
Note: Ask Vetera is being rolled out gradually and may not yet be available at your clinic. If you do not see Ask Vetera in your Reports section, contact your clinic administrator.
Who Can Use Ask Vetera
Ask Vetera is available to users with full admin permissions. If you are unsure whether you have the required permissions, contact your clinic administrator.
How Ask Vetera Works
In the left sidebar, click on Reports (1). On this page, select Ask Vetera from the left sidebar (2). The panel opens on the right-hand side of the page without displacing the main report view. To expand the panel to full screen, select the full-screen button in the top right of the Ask Vetera panel.
Note: If you are on the older app shell, select the AI button in the top right of the Reports section to open Ask Vetera.
Type your question in the Ask me anything... field (3). Ask Vetera returns a structured answer based on your clinic's financial data. After each response, Ask Vetera displays suggested follow-up questions you can select to explore the data further.
Responses can include data visualizations such as bar charts and pie charts. Ask Vetera can also explain the reasons behind changes in your data, for example why revenue decreased over a given period.
Ask Vetera uses the same financial data as your existing reports in Vetera. Data is live, so answers always reflect the current state of your clinic.
Ask Vetera remembers context across follow-up questions within a conversation. Your conversation history is saved for 60 days, so you can return to previous conversations at any time.
To view your previous conversations, select the New conversation drop-down menu at the top of the Ask Vetera panel. This menu opens showing your past conversations, which you can search or select to resume. Each conversation is automatically renamed based on your first question, making it easy to identify and return to previous conversations.
