Replace the OAuth Credentials for an Integration

Replace the OAuth client credentials for an integration when your integration partner asks you to, or when you think the credentials are no longer safe. To replace the credentials, you delete the application in Vetera and add it again.

Check Who Manages the Integration

Before you replace the OAuth credentials for an integration, check who manages the integration:

  • Integration managed by Vetera: your clinic does not need to do anything.

  • Integration managed by a partner: contact the integration partner first. The partner confirms if new credentials are needed and agrees the timing with you.

  • Integration your clinic added itself: you can replace the credentials yourself. Follow the steps below.

Replace the OAuth Credentials in Vetera

You replace the OAuth credentials for an integration in OpenAPI Access. Deleting the application stops the integration immediately. The integration works again when you have added the application again and the partner has set up the new credentials.

To replace the OAuth credentials:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > OpenAPI Access.

  2. Delete the existing application.

  3. Select Add application and select the same integration.

  4. If the integration is used in more than one clinic location, turn it on again in each clinic location.

The new credentials are sent to the integration partner automatically for integrations that support this. Vetera does not show the new credentials, and you do not need to send them to anyone.

If You Think the OAuth Credentials Have Leaked

If you think the OAuth credentials for an integration are no longer safe, delete the application in OpenAPI Access at once. Do not wait for the integration partner. Then contact Vetera Support at [email protected]. Add the application again only when Support or your partner confirms that it is safe.
